BUSY CITY STREET CORNER SOUND EFFECTS.
ZIG: Hello, Zig Montague reporter. Getting the pulse of the people on that question of questions: Earth Aliens: Myth or Menace?
Sir, ever personally run into any Earth Aliens?
DOCTOR: Of course.I'm a doctor. I treat them all the time.
ZIG: All the time? Are they sick?
DOCTOR: Sick, but getting stronger
ZIG: What makes them sick?
DOCTOR: Eating food that doesn't have the necessary chemicals, toxins, pesticides, herbicides, preservatives, food coloring. But our food supply is getting very close to the native cuisine on the planet they came from. In a few years there'll be no stopping them.
ZIG: You mean right now there's a way to stop them?
DOCTOR: It's rather simple. We poison their food supply.
ZIG: Poison their food supply? Sounds like they eat the same things I do. We'll all croak.
DOCTOR: One man's poison is another man's pure food.
ZIG: Huh?
DOCTOR: See, we leave out all those alien goodies in our food. All the toxic preservatives, all the pesticides, all the chemical taste enhancers. And what do we have?
ZIG: Bland food?
DOCTOR: But...pure, unadulterated alien poison.
ZIG: Right. We'll still be able to survive on it, but they won't. Ingenious! What are we worried about? As soon as we get all that stuff out of our food we got 'em licked. How long do you think something like that will take, doc?
DOCTOR: Hmmm let's see, we've got an industry selling 150 billion dollars worth of food to a voracious alien market. I figure, oh, maybe by tomorrow.
ZIG: I get the picture, doc. Let's just hope the folks out there get the picture.
